exalt's 2023 Gala:
"Framing the Future of Freedom"
Our annual gala took place on June 14, 2023 at Trinity Church Wall Street. We honored the Exonerated Five and Founding Board Member Jamey Spencer, Managing Director of Hall Capital. We also presented our 2023 Freedom Fund scholarship to 20-year-old Crown Heights native Jahssiah Bowman. "When I first came to exalt, I was on the wrong track. I would never have imagined receiving an award of this magnitude. I am so grateful to all the people at exalt who helped me to where I am today. With this scholarship, I can now pursue my dream of attending film school and becoming a screenwriter," said Bowman.
All the proceeds from the evening went to support exalt's mission and programming to help hundreds of young people annually avoid future involvement in the criminal justice system. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors and supporters!
